SHEVE is a small bag studio in Dhaka. We keep no warehouse: every bag is cut after someone reserves it, which is why our lead time is a week or two rather than a day.
How we make
Our leather is vegetable-tanned in Bangladesh and chosen hide by hide. The hardware is solid brass. Every seam is saddle-stitched by hand with two needles and waxed thread, and every edge is sanded, dyed and burnished until it is smooth.
Why made to order
Making after you order means nothing is wasted on stock that never sells, and it lets us check each piece twice before it is boxed. It also means you can ask us about colours and small details before we start.
Heritage in every run
Some of our pieces carry nakshi kantha embroidery and handwoven jamdani panels, made with artisans who have practised these crafts for generations.
